Hidden History Amber
and Ancient Egypt Part
8
Author: Ragnar Storyteller
The
Egyptian priests, according to the the Atlantis narrative,
Timea, said that Orichac (Amber) was mined on Basileia in great
quantities.
Basileia
was the capital of Atlantis and lay just off the Danish
Coast.
The
Egyptians said it gleamed lie fire and that the Atlanteans
covered the walls of their temple with it.
The area
between Heligoland and Eiderstedt was the Amber country of the
Ancient world.
The Eider
River was used to ship the Amber all over the world. It is on
the west coast of the Cimbrian Peninsula, that is the present
day Jutland..
The Amber
Routes of Pre-Columbian Times led to the North Sea
Coast.
To this
day, Amber is often washed up on the west coast of Jutland.
Pieces of Amber, pendants, animal figures, were fashioned by
the work of primitive implements thousands of years ago. The
"Gold of the North," is being gathered by the ton on the North
Coast of the Eiderstedt Peninsula, on the banks of the River
Hever. The 1968, dyke construction has caused a "Gold Rush" of
Amber.
Many of
the locals are finding big pieces. A boy from the village of
Odenswort, found a large piece weighing 2KG and sold it for
well over 2000 DM.
Fisherman
who sink their nets in, pull up Amber in this
area.
In the
Greek states and in Rome, Amber was worth it's weight in
gold.
In Egypt,
Amber was worked together with gold into costly
necklaces.
The
breast ornament of Pharaoh Tutankhamen, died 1352 BC, was solid
gold. And it contained large Amber drops. Why didn't the
Smithsonian tell the thousands of visitors who came to the
exhibit, that the Amber was brought to Ancient Egypt by our
Ancestors, the North Sea Peoples?
In a tomb
inscription at the time of Thutmose III (about 1500 BC), an
inscription tells us: An embassy from the Haunebu (North Sea
People), from the Northern lands at the end of the world,
brought with them 8943 pounds of Amber!
It was
used to decorate temples and Obelisks.
The
Egyptians said 'Amber is the fruit of the eye of Ra (The Sun
God.) The Gods live in it's sweet scent; and it's color is like
Gold.
The
Greeks believed that Amber was 'the many tears that Apollo shed
for his Son Aesculapius when he visited the Sacred people of
the North.
Homer
said that the Hall of Menelaus gleams with Copper, Gold, Amber,
silver and ivory.
Amber has
been found in Cretan graves, in Tholo's Tomb in western Greece,
and in the inner-Avatolian Chieftains tomb.
The
Assyrians too knew that Amber came from the North
Sea.
The
health-giving and protective power ascribed to Amber derives
from it's magnetic property, and gives it it's name, Electron,
for Aleco = I Protect.
Amber was
held in high esteem by the ancients and they gave our Viking
ancestors Gold in exchange for it. The North Sea Amber is
called the "Gold of the North."
Amber
trade vanished suddenly and totally after 1200 BC, along with
the sinking of Atlantis.
The
original Atlantis narrative was written in a non-Egyptian
language. Our Atlantean (North Sea peoples) told the Egyptians
the story and they in turn translated it into
Egyptian.

The History of Jewelry from
Egypt
Author: Jason Bibb
Copyright 2005 Jason Bibb
Ancient
Egyptians are very well known all over the world for their
remarkable jewelry, especially the ones discovered from the
period of the Middle kingdom's reign. Egyptians started
manufacturing jewelry during the Badari and Naqada eras from
natural materials, such as stones, wood, and then becoming more
sophisticated, made of pealed bones or braches, and starting to
paint them with various substances. Their purpose was primarily
religious and symbolic, often being a bit extravagant and were
being worn by women and men alike. The most common symbol that
was found from the ancients is the "Ankh" which was meant to
represent eternal life. Some of the other symbols include the
lotus flower, the falcon and the human eye, representing the
healing process.
The art
of jewelry-making started to flourish with the start of the
Middle Kingdom, when pharaohs decided to express themselves
better through gold objects. Egyptians started to master the
technical methods of cutting semiprecious and precious stones
with a sleek accuracy. Because of the regular missions to
Nubian regions as well as Eastern Desert ones, Egyptians became
more and more sophisticated in stone sculpturing, bringing from
these regions not only gold, but silver, turquoise and agate as
well. Pharaohs and high representatives of the ancient Egypt
took to the tomb a large series of jewelry pieces like crowns,
wreaths, rings, ear-rings and imposing necklaces, which were
all placed on their mummified bodies. As a particularity, the
vest that ancient Egyptians used to wore around their chest,
has not been seen anywhere else in other ancient civilizations.
It was made of pure gold, and sometimes surrounded with other
precious stones. Ancient Egyptians used to make the vest even
before the gold era, making it from other materials that they
used to color in golden shades to make it look like
gold.
Around
Christianity period, and the time that followed, most jewelry
were made of cheaper materials, but all incrusted with
Christian symbols such as crosses, pigeons, a branch leaf, and
the ancient Ankh sign. After the arrival of Islam in Egypt, men
were prohibited from wearing jewelry, especially ones made of
gold. However, they were allowed to wear silver ones. Not a lot
of the ancient jewelries were recovered, since the artifacts
were brutally ravished by thieves and the amount of gold from
the ancient tombs was stolen. Still, what remained are true
works of art and they are cherished at their real value, as
should.

Egypt

The
Great Pyramid of
Giza is the oldest tombstone on the list of
the Seven Wonders of the Antique World. The Great Pyramid took
about 20 years to complete, and several theories are debated by
scholars as to how it was built and by whom. Some theories
point to slave labor, but it seems more reasonable that
Egyptians themselves lent their efforts, working during the
times of year when the Nile was flooded and their farm work
would not have been possible. It would have been a sort of
civil service.
Sphin
x is an image of a recumbent lion with a
human head invented by the Egyptians of the Old Kingdom, and is
a cultural import in Greek mythology. Sakkara is one of the
most wide archaeological sites in Egypt! It was the burial
ground for Memphis, the capital of Ancient Egypt, yet it is
still one of the virgin archaeological sites, despite the fact
that so much has already been found here! The
Egypt ian
museums describe the
history and historical events of Egypt.
Moham ed Ali
Mosque is surrounded by
the most attractive Mosques in
Egypt
. It stands
proudly on the highest point inside the courtyard of the
Citadel of Saladin, and is also called the Alabaster Mosque.
The architect was Yousf Boushnaq, a Turkish man who had come
over from Istanbul to construct this huge Mosque for Mohamed
Ali, the ruler of Egypt from1805 until 1849. He based his
strategy on the Sultan Ahamed Mosque in Istanbul, and the
building began in 1830 A.D. The work sustained ceaselessly
until the death of Mohamed Ali in 1849, and had to be over
during the reign of his successors.
Construction of the Abu Simbel Temple complex
started in approximately 1284 BC and lasted for circa 20 years,
until 1264 BC. Their purpose was to impress Egypt's southern
neighbors, and also to support the status of Egyptian religion
in the region. This is the great temple of Abu Simbel,
dedicated to the glory of pharao Ramses II. Philae Island was a
rocky island in the middle of the River Nile, south of Aswan.
It was called in Hieroglyphic Apo which means Ivory. It was
also known by the Greek Elephantine, most likely because it was
an important centre of trade, especially for
ivory.
Right
-travel is one of
the most important archaeological sites in the world. It
is much more than what we refer to as the Valley of the
Kings, though many have called the whole of the area by
that name. The Egyptian faith that "To speak the name of
the dead is to make him live again" is surely carried out
in the building of the tombs. The king's formal names and
titles are inscribed in his tomb along with his images
and statues.
The
temple of Karnak was known as Ipet-isut (Most select of places)
and was devoted to the Theben triad of Amen, Mut and Khonsu. It
is actually a complex of three main temples, smaller enclosed
temples, and several outer temples. This vast complex was built
and enlarged over a thirteen hundred year period. Karnak is the
biggest temple complex in the world, covering an area of 100
hectares.
Luxor
Temple is a large Ancient
Egypt ian
temple complex located on the east bank of the
River Nile in the city today known as Luxor. Many festivals
were celebrated in Thebes. The Temple of Luxor was the center
of the most important one, the festival of Opet. Built largely
by Amenhotep III and Ramesses II, it appears that the temple's
purpose was for a suitable setting for the rituals of the
festival. The festival itself was to reconcile the human aspect
of the ruler with the divine office.
